We will collect personal information from you when you enquire about our activities, register as a member with us or subscribe to one of our services. This may include your name, title, email
address, physical address, telephone numbers and job title. We may also ask for some
additional, non-personal information.

services and to provide you with information relating to our services and all other services which we think you may be interested in. We take appropriate physical, electronic and managerial measures to ensure that we keep your information secure, accurate and up to date and that we only keep it as long as is reasonable and necessary.

We will share your information with third parties only relating to administrative purposes and/or membership registration and renewal and purchase of education services. This may include, for example, processing payments for services provided, membership and accreditation for awards.

- if we are under a duty to disclose or share visitors’ personal data to comply with a legal obligation
- for law enforcement purposes
- to apply our terms of use and other agreements

We will take reasonable precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of information you
give us.

Communications in connection with this service may be sent by e-mail. For ease of use and
compatibility, communications (other than payments where applicable) will not be sent in an
encrypted form unless you require it and provide the certification to enable us to communicate
with you in that way. E-mail, unless encrypted, is not a fully secure means of communication.
Whilst we endeavour to keep our systems and communications protected against viruses and
other harmful effects we cannot bear responsibility for all communications being virus-free.

policy, but cookies will not be used if we do not consider them to be necessary.

Retention Policy
Individual Members, please be aware that we will retain information of Individual Membership
numbers, the dates this was in place, the District Council allocated and the details of any SNU
awards gained. This retention policy is to enable the SNU to produce historical statistical information from time to time. Also, should you ever wish to re-join the SNU and are able to provide your previous IM number we can trace information. None of this retained information will be traceable back to a named individual without provision of the previous Individual Member number by the individual member. Confirmation of identity will be required before any retained information is divulged .
The Individual Members retention policy does not apply to Church Membership.
CHURCH MEMBERS
You will be asked to sign to confirm your acceptance of this Privacy Statement when
you apply for church membership. If, for whatever reason, your church membership becomes lapsed, you will be invited to sign a consent form regarding retention of your information.
This form is contained in the Data Protection Checklist for Churches and Centres.
It is also issued as a separate document for churches to use.

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time, so please check it periodically.

Links within our sites to other websites are not covered by this privacy policy.
